Here’s an update for anyone curious:
I recently returned from Portland, Oregon, where I recorded a new batch of songs with the help of Raymond Raposa (Castanets) and Seth Lorinczi (Golden Bears) at Seth’s Little Golden Book Studio. I’m really excited about the recordings, and as soon as mastering is done, I’ll have one or two up on the ‘net for your listening pleasure. Two of the tracks from those sessions (The Exhilarating Rise and A Horse) will wind up on a new 7”, due out by the end of the year, and I’ll save the rest for the next LP. I’ll be taking the new tunes out on the road over the northern winter, and hopefully to Australia by March of next year for both solo and Electric Jellyfish tours.
In the meantime, I’m playing Friday, October 22nd at The Hemlock in San Francisco with Mississippi Man from LA, with more shows to be announced soon.
There are still a few copies of the self-titled Electric Jellyfish 12” LP (limited to 220 copies) left, so grab one before they disappear. You can grab them in Australia from Missing Link Records, or in the US from Twin Lakes Records, available from both as digital download as well.
Hope to see you ‘round the traps,
Mike
